We'd love for you to join us on our incredible 15-day cycling tour from Phong Nha to Dong Hoi, through Quang Binh, to the most vibrant city in Ho Chi Minh (Saigon). This 15-day cycling tour from Dong Hoi to Ho Chi Minh City is an unmissable combination of the Heritage Road and the Central Coast Road of Vietnam.
Cyclists will have the incredible opportunity to cycle on and explore single and small roads, weaving through peaceful villages and crossing vast green fields, lagoons, and ponds. These stunning landscapes will paint a picture of the countryside that is nothing short of idyllic. But that's not all! Along the way, cyclists will also have the chance to learn and discover the deep roots of history and culture.
We'll kick off the first week of cycling on the Heritage route and set off on our bikes to explore the outstanding value of geology, geomorphology and the world's natural heritage.
Get ready for an incredible journey as we cycle on the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail! We'll be passing through places that have a rich history of heroic and indomitable fighting for independence, freedom and territorial integrity of Vietnam. In the 20th century, we'll explore the Thach Han River, Ben Hai Bridge, DMZ areas, Vinh Moc Tunnels, Cua Tung and Cua Viet.
And now for something really special! Our cycling trip continues to the south, where we'll learn about the capital of the Nguyen Dynasty from 1802 to 1945. This place is absolutely teeming with extremely precious relics of culture, religion and history! Temples, monuments, shrines, mausoleums, citadels and imperial palaces are clustered on both banks of the peaceful and poetic Huong River. This incredible place has been honoured and recognised as a World Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1994, and it's easy to see why!
Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime! Our journey takes us along the incredible Hai Van Pass, a truly legendary route in Asia. Starting in Lang Co town, this 24 km stretch winds its way to Da Nang city, offering breathtaking views of the mountains and the vast ocean. It's an unforgettable journey that will take your breath away!
And now for the next stop on our incredible journey: two world cultural heritage sites recognised by UNESCO! Next stop: the ancient town of Hoi An and the holy land of My Son!
Hoi An was the largest trading port in the central region from the 11th to the 17th centuries! It was a bustling hub where local products like spices, traditional Chinese medicine, silk, and ceramics were exchanged with foreign merchant ships from China, Japan, Thailand, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, India, England, France, Portugal, the Netherlands, and more.
The incredible My Son Sanctuary is tucked away in a mysterious old forest. The incredible My Son Sanctuary was once the holiest religious centre of the Champa people from the 6th to 13th centuries! This incredible place is the resting place of kings and supreme gods, according to Theravada Buddhist culture.
What an incredible first week it's been! We've had the chance to discover and experience some truly outstanding cultural, historical and religious values through four world natural and cultural heritages recognised by UNESCO.
We're off on the second week of our cycling adventure along the coastal road, which is widely regarded as the most beautiful cycling route in Vietnam! Cycling on a gorgeous, scenic road, we soak up the sunshine and admire the sparkling, emerald sea along the central coast. This new route connects the central provinces with each other, taking us past pristine beaches, stretches of white sand beaches interspersed with lagoons, oases, and fishing and farming areas. We wind through the high slopes along the seashore or through the rustic and idyllic villages of the central region.
All of this makes the road more attractive and enchanting during the 15-day Vietnam Central Coast cycling trip. You simply have to experience it for yourself!
A trip would be incomplete without mentioning the accommodation and culinary services.
During 15 days Dong Hoi - Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh cycling, we will be feasting on delicious food in luxurious hotels or high-end resorts overlooking the sea with a swimming pool right next door.
