Day 14: Quang Uyen – Phia Thap – Tu Do – Dong Khe – Hanoi | Cycling Through Ethnic Villages & Historic Landscapes
After a hearty breakfast, we set off on the final leg of our incredible cycling journey through Cao Bang. Today’s ride takes us through picturesque ethnic villages, scenic backroads, and lush countryside, offering a perfect blend of cultural immersion and adventure before we transfer back to Hanoi. We begin our ride on a smooth tarmac road before turning onto a smaller rural path, leading to a traditional paper-making village. Here, you’ll have the unique opportunity to experience the ancient art of handmade paper production, a craft passed down through generations of the Nùng people. Try your hand at making paper and learn about the cultural significance of this centuries-old tradition. As we cycle through charming villages, take in the tranquil countryside, lush rice fields, and rolling hills. We continue pedaling along a lovely single-track trail, winding through the hidden gem of Phia Thap Village, known for its incense-making tradition. The route takes us through Tu Do Commune, Ha Tri, and Trung Vuong Commune, where you’ll witness the colorful traditional attire and unique cultures of diverse ethnic hill tribes. Stop to interact with local villagers, gaining insight into their daily lives, farming practices, and rich traditions. Our support vehicle will meet us for refreshments and a well-deserved break before we continue on a scenic tarmac road to Dong Khe Village. From here, we board our transfer back to Hanoi, bringing our epic cycling adventure to a close. This final day of cycling is a beautiful blend of cultural discovery, scenic landscapes, and unforgettable experiences, making it the perfect conclusion to your Northern Vietnam cycling adventure!
