Day 1: Hanoi – Tu Le – Mu Cang Chai Ecolodge
Having hearty breakfast in hotel, leaving the hustling and bustling city behind, we commence our trip to Mid North of Vietnam. On the way, we can take a break to enjoy the Green Tea hill in Phu Tho province. Do break and take photo in Long Coc tea farm, learn about how they grow and pick up tea leaves everyday. We also pass Nghia Lo town – the home of Thai people – one of the main ethnic people in Yen Bai . our journey continue on scenic route to Tu Le town for lunch. After lunch meals, we jump on bus to admire incredible Khau Pa pass , stop on peak to observe panoramic Lim Mong Rice terrace field. Our journey continues to Mu Cang Chai Eclodge in early afternoon.
check in our hotel, you can spend around 2hrs to walk around field and village, to enjoy the rice field, explore the life, the house, the culture…of Thai people. After trekking, we can enjoy the Hot Spring – where villagers often gather together and take a bath everyday.

Day 2: Exploring the hill tribe | 17 km trekking – almost 7 hours
AM: 8h30: We depart for a visit to the Thai village. From the Ecolodge you will do trekking to Sang Village where the Hmong live. Then you walk for 2 hours on the trail, it is also the border between two provinces of Yen Bai and Son La. Standing on the trail, you watch the spectacular terraced fields in Ngoc Chien valley. Beautiful scene here is considered an ideal destination for photographers and painters. Standing down from above, you will be startled and ask yourself is this work of man or god. Continue in the pine forest and down the valley, you will discover the life of the Thai minority. The stilts located along the stream as the symbol of the Thai people from ancient times. You will have lunch here. Then you have time to go through the small streets in the village to interact with the locals peoples. We can do in the afternoon.
Option 1: Ride back to Ecolodge and prepare for the fishing trip.
Option 2: continue to ride to the place where you can relax in the bath with hot water completely natural. Then you return to Ecolodge and rest while waiting for dinner

Day 3: trekking and immersing yourself into the most beautiful terraces
Following to hearty breakfast, we commence our new hiking from Ecolodge to explore stunning scenery and panoramic picturesque rice terrace in three areas through small trail and buffalo paths.
We will go about 12km to reach the point of walking. All the beautiful things of Mu Cang Chai are waiting for you at the top, after a 1 hour climb we go through the Hmong people where you will meet innocent children, met hardworking women , All will welcome you with a friendly smile, in this village you can visit the traditional home of the indigenous people and learn the customs. You continue on the trail until you see the whole terraced fields that have been recorded as national heritage. This beautiful place has been CNN traveler magazine rated as the theater of golden rice. Picnic lunch and continue walking down to Che Cu Nha, motorbike pick up you there to transfer back to Ecolodge.

Day 4: Mu Cang Chai- Hanoi
After our breakfast, depending on the season, we can spend 1,5-2hrs Hike up to Sang Nhu or Lao Chai village, where has beautiful rice terraces (attractive many photographers), Hiking through the pine forests, the hidden path and enjoy the overview of Mu Cang Chai small town. Or go down to Lim Thai village – which is located at the bottom of Khau Pha mountain. You will hike down through the local path, beside the rice field, cross the stream and explore the life of Thai people.
If you are interested in the local market, we can visit the market in Tu Le or Nghia Lo. After that, we will drive straight back to Nghia Lo – Yen Bai city- Hanoi around 6-7 pm. Our guide says goodbye & see you again on other journeys.
