Day 13: Bac Me – Ngoi Hoa – Na Hang – Ba Be
Get ready for an unforgettable cycling adventure as we journey through Na Hang National Park, conquer steep mountain passes, explore ethnic minority villages, and cruise through the pristine waters of Ba Be Lake—one of Vietnam’s largest and most spectacular natural wonders!
Our ride kicks off with an adrenaline-pumping ascent along a winding road with sharp hairpin bends, leading us to the summit. This challenging climb rewards us with breathtaking panoramic views of the untouched Na Hang Nature Reserve, home to lush forests, hidden waterfalls, and rich biodiversity. As we descend, we pass through authentic tribal villages, home to the Tay, Dao, and H’mong ethnic groups, giving us a glimpse into their traditional way of life in northern Vietnam. We stop for a well-earned lunch in the charming Da Vi village, surrounded by majestic limestone karsts and emerald-green rivers. After lunch, we embark on an amazing boat trip to Dau Dang Waterfall, a hidden gem in the heart of the national park. From Dau Dang, we continue cycling on scenic off-road trails towards Ba Be National Park, a UNESCO-listed World Natural Heritage Site. Here, we embark on our second boat trip, gliding through the tranquil waters of Ba Be Lake, surrounded by towering limestone mountains, dense jungle, and hidden caves. We kick off the day by cycling through picturesque valleys, passing majestic limestone mountains, verdant palm forests, and scenic rice paddies. Along the way, we’ll meet friendly Tay, Dao, and H’mong ethnic communities, who continue to preserve their traditional way of life in Northern Vietnam. The ride is a gentle mix of paved roads and countryside trails, allowing us to fully soak in the breathtaking natural beauty. As we cycle towards Thai Nguyen, we pass through vast tea plantations, famous for producing some of Vietnam’s finest green tea. After lunch, we load our bikes and hop into our private van for a relaxing drive back to Hanoi.
