Itinerary
Get ready for an unforgettable cycling adventure through the hidden backroads of Hanoi! Your Hanoi cycling tour kicks off at 8:30 a.m. when you’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken to our bike station for a safety briefing and bike fitting. Then, it’s time to embark on an incredible Hanoi countryside cycling experience, pedaling through the city’s vibrant streets and into its peaceful outskirts.
Explore the Authentic Side of Hanoi
Your first stop is the Quang An Flower Market, one of the city’s most colorful early-morning hotspots. Instead of just passing through, we’ll take a detour into the lush flower gardens along the Red River, where you can witness locals cultivating stunning blooms. Along the way, you’ll also pass by traditional pottery villages, fruit orchards bursting with kumquats, strawberries, and Vietnamese apples, and organic vegetable farms—a perfect chance to interact with local farmers and taste some freshly harvested produce.
Cycle Through Banana Plantations & Riverside Communities
Continue pedaling through Hanoi’s hidden countryside, weaving past towering banana plantations, tranquil villages, and lush green farmlands. You’ll be amazed by how quickly the city's urban chaos fades away, replaced by peaceful rural life just minutes from Hanoi’s Old Quarter. This off-the-beaten-track route provides an authentic glimpse into local Vietnamese culture and daily life.
Cross the Legendary Long Bien Bridge
One of the most thrilling moments of the tour is cycling across the iconic Long Bien Bridge, an architectural masterpiece designed by the Eiffel Company in the early 20th century. Once the longest bridge in Asia, it played a crucial role during the Vietnam War, and its history is deeply ingrained in Hanoi’s heritage. As you cross, soak in the breathtaking panoramic views of the Red River, its lush banks, and the bustling activity below.
Local Ferry Ride & Village Visit
After crossing Long Bien Bridge, continue cycling through hidden residential districts and winding alleyways until you reach Bac Cau Peninsula. Here, a unique adventure awaits—you’ll load your bikes onto a traditional wooden boat for a short river crossing, offering a unique perspective of Hanoi’s waterways. Once ashore, pedal through a charming rural village, where you’ll enjoy a delicious home-cooked lunch at a local eatery. If luck is on your side, you may even be invited into the home of a family that has lived here for 14 generations, where you can enjoy Vietnamese tea and fascinating stories about local traditions.
Return to Hanoi & Relax
After a fulfilling day of cycling through Hanoi’s hidden gems, your private transfer will take you back to your hotel, where you can relax and reflect on your incredible adventure. Experience the best of Hanoi beyond the tourist trails with this exclusive backroad cycling tour!
