our trekking adventure brings you through the most incredible landscape of Bac Ha to Hoang Su Phi for 5 days, 4 nights.
The trip includes 4 home-stays at different group of people of different cultures. This will definitely give you a great chance to learn about the local authentic cultures.
Accommodation on the trip is homestay at local ethnic families. All meals are provided on the trek. While trekking, we'll have picnic lunches and dinners cooked by the family. We'll surely have opportunities to taste local cuisine typical of each ethnic group who are our hosts.
The level of difficulty of the trek is moderate. You'll hike for about 6 hours each day on small trails with some steep gradients. The trails can be through forests, or tea plantations or rice terraces. Sometimes the views are blocked by trees and mountains and at other times we'll be hiking on open-vista mountainsides with sweeping views of the surrounding nature. The scenery is extraordinary in September and October while the rice terraces are turning into golden colors.
Day 1: Hanoi - Bac Ha
Following to hearty breakfast in hotel, we commence our journey to Far North Vietnam in 5 Days trip. Set out for the morning drive to Bac Ha town on the HW Noi Bai - Lao Cai. Lunch is at a local restaurant on the way. In the afternoon, take a motorboat ride on Chay River (If the water level permits, not much opportunities in the dry season!) and then walk to Trung Do village of the Tay ethnic minority people. From there, picked up and drive uphill to Bac Ha town. Check into a local hotel. Dinner and stay for the night.
** In case it is impossible to take the boat ride on Chay River, you just drive straight to Bac Ha after lunch, and forward to Ban Pho, a village of the Flower H'mong minority group to embark on 1.5 hour trek to enjoy the rural scenery and learn the culture of this colorful ethnic group before the hotel check-in.

Day 2: Bac Ha hill tribal Market – Ban Luoc Eco village
This morning, if it is on Tuesday, Saturday or Sunday. There are interesting hill tribe markets that you are able to attend. The hill tribe markets in Bac Ha region are very colorful. Spend about 1.5 hours or 2 hours to stroll around and hunt some good photographs. The markets are alive with the bright colors and extravagant costumes of the highlanders, especially the Flower H'mong. Together with other minorities, they come from different villages at the surroundings to the markets buy and sell a wide variety of goods and livestock. It is more common to see buffalo, cows, horses and other livestock being traded. After the market, make your way to Coc Pai town for lunch. Then keep driving to Hoang Su Phi for the late afternoon scenic terraced field trek to Ban Luoc stilt-house village of the Tay ethnic people - Another home-stay for tonight. Dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Ban Luoc hiking top Ban Nam Ai
This morning, after the breakfast at the family, you will trek the scenic dirt trail up and down the terraced fields in Ban Luoc area. This area is one of the highlighted landscapes in Hoang Su Phi. The fields look best at the yellow season (in the early half of October). After 2.5 hour, you will get back to the bigger road where you will get the car transfer to the nearby town for lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, drive down to Nam Son Commune for another up-hill trek to Nam Ai village. The trek takes almost 2 hours. The home-stay tonight is at a local house of ethic Black Yao people. Dinner and stay overnight

Day 4: Ban Ai – Hiking to Thong Nguyen
After the breakfast, start your long trek today to Nam Hong village of the Red Yao people. The trek is mostly on dirt path, gradually downhill and offers you lovely scenery of nature and life. The terraced fields, viewed on the way, are also amazing. Your local way leader will prepare a picnic lunch at a local house on the way. Arrive at the last home-stay about 4 p.m. Refreshing and dinner.

Day 5: Thong Nguyen Transfer to Hanoi
Take it easy today for the breakfast and bid farewell to the host family. Embark on your returning journey at 9:00 a.m.
If you wish to do more trekking before going back to Hanoi. There is a 1.5-hour trek available from the home-stay. For this, you will start from the home-stay a bit earlier (at 8:00 a.m.). Lunch at a local restaurant on way back. Arrive at your hotel in Hanoi after 7 hour drive. End of service.

If you alter your booking after confirmation of your reservation and amendment free fee per booking will be charged to cover administration costs incurred.
