After a refreshing start to the day, we’re ready to continue our cycling journey through Pu Luong Nature Reserve! Our adventure takes us to Kho Muong village, where we’ll cycle along a scenic single-track trail by the river, immersing ourselves in the stunning views of lush green rice paddies and the surrounding natural beauty. We’ll continue on a smooth concrete road, weaving through rice terraces and dense bamboo forests, gradually descending into a picturesque valley. Along the way, we’ll pass the charming Lanh Village, where you’ll be able to enjoy the iconic terraced rice fields and get a glimpse into local life.
Our cycling tour will take us further to an isolated village nestled in a massive mountain range, where we’ll meet a welcoming local family. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the lifestyle and culture of the Thai ethnic community in Pu Luong. After soaking in the views and cultural insights, we’ll hop back on our bikes, following another single-track trail through vibrant bamboo forests and rice-paddy fields, eventually arriving at Ban Hieu village.
Next, we’ll tackle a short but thrilling uphill section along a stream, leading us to a stunning waterfall where we’ll enjoy a delicious picnic lunch surrounded by nature’s beauty. Next, we’ll enjoy a relaxing descent as we cycle the Ho Chi Minh Trail towards the T-junction of Co Luong, offering a chance to rest your legs while soaking in the surroundings. Continuing on some scenic back roads, we’ll pass through quaint villages, providing a perfect opportunity to connect with local communities. The final day of our amazing bicycle adventure in Northern Vietnam is here! After a hearty breakfast at our hotel, we’ll be ready to embark on our last ride. A short transfer will take us from the peaceful Mai Chau Valley to the top of Thung Khe, where our cycling journey will begin. Upon arrival, we’ll start by exploring the local market, offering a glimpse into the vibrant community life. From there, we’ll cycle along a secondary road, passing through rice paddy fields, cornfields, and even a sugar plantation, offering scenic views of rural Vietnam.
As we continue on our ride, we’ll experience the serene atmosphere of traditional village life, cycling through quiet landscapes on a scenic road that winds its way through hillsides and sparse populations, leading us to Man Duc. Here, we’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant, enjoying authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a peaceful setting. After lunch, we’ll take a three-hour transfer back to Hanoi, arriving in the late afternoon to conclude our Pu Luong to Mai Chau cycling tour.
