Itinerary

The lovely town of Sapa is nestled at 1,500 metres (4,921 feet) above sea level in the remote northwest mountains of Vietnam. It's famous for its breathtaking, rugged scenery and rich cultural diversity. Sapa is a gorgeous little town nestled in the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, right near the Chinese border in northwest Vietnam. It's known as the "Tonkinese Alps," and it's truly a sight to behold! Sapa and the surrounding area are home to many hill tribes, as well as terraced fields, lush vegetation and Fansipan, the highest peak in Vietnam.
We're sure you'll agree that the
3 Days Sapa Bicycle Loop is just perfect for anyone looking for a great mix of culture and physical activity in Sapa. Our Sapa cycling tours are a great way to learn more about the culture and customs of the wonderful people who live here. You'll get to admire the beautiful, rolling fields that wind their way up the mountainside or down the hillsides into the valley below.
We
cycle on a lovely new concrete road, which winds its way around the fields. We cycle along the stream to reach the peaceful villages, where we get to interact with the lovely local people. Sometimes, we are just blown away by the beauty of the natural landscape and the wonderful people here. Each day, we end our journey at the peaceful and quiet eco home stay of a local family. Sipping a cup of wine and enjoying wonderful cuisine, made with love by the family, is certainly an unforgettable experience.

Day 1: Full day cycling – Muang Hoa Valley – Seo My Ty Water Reservoir

We'll start the day with a hearty breakfast before getting your luggage ready for the three-day Sapa cycling tours you've been waiting for!
At 8:30, you'll be whisked away on an exhilarating uphill journey to the breathtaking Heaven's Gate (Tram Ton Pass), the highest pass in Vietnam! Get ready to be blown away by the absolutely breathtaking view over the Muong Hoa Valley! You'll have the chance to soak it all in during your cycling adventure. Then it's time for the best part: you get on your bike and start descending into the Sapa Valley, taking in the incredible scenery of mountains and rice paddy fields along the way. After leaving the charming town of Sapa behind for a while, you'll make a turn and follow a dirt road to the fascinating Black Hmong village of Lao Chai. From there, the road will take you to an incredible village inhabited by the Giay tribe! You'll have the chance to stop in a local house for a coffee and tea break, as well as some time to explore the village!
We then continue our journey on asphalt and concrete roads, which lead us to the incredible Seo My Ty. We will sometimes cycle on dirt and broken roads, which will test our endurance as we challenge some steep hills. However, the scenery is absolutely fantastic and truly incredible. We will reach Seo My Ty at noon, where we will enjoy a delicious picnic lunch and admire the stunning crystal-clear waters of the lake.
Once we've recharged our energy, we'll kick off our pedals to cycle along the lake to our amazing campsite for tonight. Leave your bikes on land, and we'll start jumping in the cool water to wash away the tiredness and hardness. You can also join in our awesome kayaking activity on the tranquil lake.

After breakfast, we're ready to hit the road again! We gear up and cycle on back roads and single track trails back to Ta Van village. Upon arriving in the village, we keep riding on the concrete road that leads to the suspension bridge. The challenge of the steep pass that leads to the main road is an amazing experience that lasts for over 1 km. We cycle on the main road that leads to Thanh Phu section, where we turn into the village that leads to Lech village of the Red Dao minority. The magnificent valley view that we observe on the way is simply incredible! You'll get to have lunch in a local family's home!
Next, you'll leave your bikes and embark on a short but sweet walk on a dirt road. Along the way, you'll visit a traditional Red Dao family. Get ready to experience the culture of the minority villagers who have lived the same life as their ancestors for hundreds of years! Back at the parking place, you'll get to take another ride to the new Lech village! You'll have a longer break there to learn how the women embroider, which is really cool.
