Itinerary

Cycling in northern Vietnam is a wonderful way to experience the region's stunning landscapes and rich culture. The northern part of Vietnam is celebrated for its mountainous terrain, which includes rolling hills and rugged mountain ranges that provide both challenging and scenic cycling routes.

We would like to respectfully propose a 14-day tour of Ha Giang, Hoang Su Phi, Bac Ha, Muong Khuong, Y Ty and Sapa Hilltop Town. This carefully and thoughtfully selected mountain bike tour in Northern Vietnam promises to bring extremely enjoyable experiences to customers who are looking for a type of tourism associated with outdoor activities. At an altitude of 1,000 metres above sea level, the towering mountains are shrouded in clouds, creating a cool climate all year round.
At the foot of the mountain, one can find immense tropical primeval forests, waterfalls and streams that irrigate fertile fields, creating wonderful pictures of nature. The valleys and high mountain slopes are home to a number of ethnic minority villages, including those of the Hmong, Dao, Day, and Tay. These communities have created a rich and vibrant cultural tapestry, evident in their daily lives, festivals, and weekend markets.

We kindly invite you to join us on our 14-day real mountain bike tour in Northern Vietnam, where you will have the opportunity to challenge yourself against some of the most amazing mountain bike trails in Southeast Asia. Each day offers a unique experience, with varying terrain, gradients, vistas and climates as we ascend and descend the diverse altitudes of the Hoang Su Phi. This is a ride that will stay with you forever. Even if the memory of burning leg muscles isn't enough to remember it by, your amazing photographs will certainly help you recall it.

You will have the opportunity to ride on narrow dirt single tracks that have been connecting villages and villagers for generations. The single track sections are undulating to downhill, so you may find yourself smiling as you traverse the side of some of Hoang Su Phi's most picturesque rice-terraced mountainsides.

For this ride, we have planned the more challenging ascents on the sealed roads, allowing you to find your rhythm and recover for the next enjoyable descent on the single track. With daily distances ranging from 50 to 70 km, there will be plenty of time to enjoy some time off the bike after the day's ride, and to stop along the way for photos or just to take in the scenery.

We would like to kindly inform you that our tour is not suitable for riders who are looking for a fast-paced, full-day cycling experience with minimal interaction with the local culture. Our tour is designed for riders who are interested in meeting the locals, taking photos, and enjoying the scenery, all while exploring the beauty of dirt trails.

Cycling on dirt roads and small concrete roads winding through terraced fields, we have the opportunity to follow the stream to reach the peaceful, quiet villages nestled under the canopy of ancient trees. We can also try our best with countless small steep slopes weaving in the ravine, hidden in the morning mist.
As we ascend to the summit, we may experience a sense of emotional vulnerability. However, this is often followed by the emergence of a magical and majestic scene, revealed to us through the radiant beauty of our surroundings. This often leads to a surprising sense of fatigue dissipating, as we gaze upon the white clouds that seem to radiate in all four directions.

Day 01: Hanoi Arrival Transferring to  – Ha Giang Cycling loop

Vietnam's beautiful and tranquil capital is situated in a serene location at the heart of the northern Red River Delta. The city is blessed with a wealth of lakes and leafy boulevards, which contribute to its enduring charm and French colonial elegance. Some have even gone so far as to call Hanoi the 'Paris of the East' thanks to its fine coffee and perfect baguettes. However, the city's roots go all the way back to 1010 AD.
Upon your arrival in Hanoi, you will be greeted and escorted to Ha Giang City for a four-hour visit. We hope you will enjoy exploring the pristine nature of northern Vietnam. If it is convenient, perhaps we could have lunch along the way. After lunch, we will proceed. We would like to suggest that you consider taking part in one of our 14-day cycling tours in Northern Vietnam. These tours start in Tan Quang, where you will have the opportunity to cycle on scenic roads that wind along rivershore rice terraces and through rural villages, eventually reaching Ngoc Linh village. As we turn into the village road, we have the opportunity to continue our cycling trip through some truly breathtaking scenery, including dense forest and lush vegetable farms, on our way to Ha Giang city.
