Far Northern Vietnam Adventure Tour: Travel route – Hanoi – Ba Be – Cao Bang – Ban Gioc – Bao Lac – Meo Vac – Dong Van – Ha Giang – Hoang su Phi – Bac Ha – Y Ty- Muong Hum Sapa – Hanoi – Trang An – Tam Coc – Halong Bay – Hanoi.
Northern Vietnam has always been the desire of adventurous people who want to experience and explore the majestic scenery, on winding roads,  and challengable spectacular passes. Encounter  colorful ethnic minorities who have lived in peaceful valleys for hundreds of years.
Ba Be Lake is well-known for an over 50-hectare freshwater lake in the altitude of 145m above the sea level created by the confluence of three river tributaries after earthquakes tens of millions of years ago. Meanwhile Ban Gioc - the world’s fourth biggest border-crossing waterfalls is attractive for its picturesque painting of blue sky, great limestone mountains and stunning rice fields together with the daily life
Cao Bang located in Northeast Vietnam, possesses the incredible natural beauty, a magnificent Ban Gioc waterfall, a range of limestone mountain surrounded the colorful ethnic minority villages, a jag Quay Son river bent toward a lush rice paddy fields etc., and the vibrant traditional culture of the ethnic minority.

Climb into the mountains on the first day of your Vietnam far North Adventure Tour, leaving the Red River Delta area of Hanoi for the mysterious Land –Hoang Su Phi.
You'll spend two days making your way to Hoang Su Phi district – the forgotten paradise on earth where Dao -the Tay, H'mong  people settle their home along  the road and there will be plenty of time to stop enjoy the scenic views and wander through the hilltribe hamlets. Your Hoang Su phi – Ha Giang – Far North Adventure Tours  continues with Ha Giang rocky mountain and Dong Van geopark.  the country's northernmost point. Have your camera read as you climb what is known as 'Heaven's Pass' and meet with more curious locals near the border. It is here in Dong Van area, amid the towering hills, that you will discover one of the most diverse stretches of the north. In one day you'll rub shoulders with vendors from several area hilltribes as they trade their wares at the market, step back in time at the palace of a former H'mong king and see traces of Chinese influence in Pho Bang where the local houses reflect old Chinese style. 
Immerse yourself  in untouched and secluded  region, breathtaking fairy tale of hill tribes, picturesque scenery and sights.  Challenging the winding roads, high slopes, deep pools, passing through peaceful villages, misty valleys to tranquil town where we will stay overnight in cozy accommodation. Tasting fresh and unique food in local restaurant in each day.

Day 01: Hanoi arrival – Half Day Cycling tour in Banana Island Hanoi

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and transfer to the city center for hotel check-in.

Your cycling tour of Hanoi begins at 14h:00 when you are picked up from your hotel and transferred to the office to collect your bikes and receive a safety briefing from your guide. From here, you will begin your morning cycling tour. 
Your guide will take you past the famous Quang an flower market, however instead of entering the actual market, we will head towards the river and into the actual gardens where they are grown. For the next few hours you will pass through local communities growing flowers, making and selling local pottery, seasonal fruits as kumquat, strawberry and  Vietnamese apple orchards, jungles of banana trees and local gardens with any number of vegetables on view. Stop and talk to the locals, learn about their produce, taste the exotic foods and cycle through some incredible scenery. 
All in the knowledge that you are only metres from Hanoi city, you'd never think so while you're on your bike.
The tour ends as you reach the famous Long Bien bridge. Built by the Eiffel company between 1899-1902, it was an important link during the Vietnam War and its defense is now part of local folklore. Push your bikes up onto the bridge and see Hanoi from a new perspective as you cross a section of what was once the longest bridge in Asia. From here you will be picked up and transferred back to your hotel in time for lunch around 16:30

Day 02: Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Bac Kan - Ba Be Natural Park

After breakfast, depart to Ba Be, stop over to visit Vietnam Museum of Ethnology which focuses on the 54 officially recognized ethnic groups in Vietnam. Continue to Thai Nguyen through green tea hills with several stops on the way. Visit Tay villages, San Chi Village and Cao Lan Village. Lunch is served at a local restaurant before continue your road trip to Ba Be. When arriving Ba Be, you will be staying in a large traditional stilt house and enjoy a cup of tea. Then, visit Hua Ma Cave - the most beautiful and largest cave in the region. Take a walk around the village to discover daily life of the Tays ethnic. Enjoy your dinner and overnight stay with Tays people.

Day 03: Ba Be - Boat Trip - Cao Bang

Having breakfast, discover all of the most beautiful and quiet nooks nestled in Ba Be Lake by cruise. Ba Be Lake lies in the middle of the vast limestone mountain range of Ba Be National Park with large and small islands of limestone rising out of the water, many of which can be explored as you kayak around. There are also several caves with beautiful rock formations that have developed over millions of years. You will be cruising from Nang River to Puong Cave dug into the limestone cliff and then discover Dau Dang Waterfalls. Have lunch then go back to where you stay and depart to Cao Bang. Drive through beautiful landscapes, forests and ethnic villages. Stop over at a market in Cao Bang. Dinner and 1 night stay over in Cao Bang.

Day 04: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc waterfalls - Nguom Ngao cave

Enjoy your breakfast and head to Trung Khanh - a border district, sharing an over 63-km-long border with China. Cross amazing landscapes, Tays Village and Nungs Village before entering to Ban Gioc Waterfall - one of the most beautiful falls of the Far North of Vietnam. Enjoy your lunch then, visit Nguom Ngao Cave - the most beautiful cave of the region. Enjoy your dinner at a local restaurant and an overnight stay in Cao Bang.

Day 05: Ban Gioc – Trunh Khanh – Tra Linh – Khau Coc Tra – Bao Lac

Breakfast at the hotel then depart to Bao Lac crossing beautiful landscapes, visit colorful local markets of multiple ethnic minorities on the way, cross karst mountains and beautif ul valleys and to meet with multiple ethnic minorities. This trip will allow you to take beautiful photos. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Take a walk to discover the villages. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

 Day 06: Bao Lac - Hidden Land - Meo Vac - Dong Van

Breakfast the hotel, depart to Khuoi Khon Village, discover of the life and their daily occupations. Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant. Then, head to Dong Van via Meo Vac. Stop at several places for photos, then, visit the Heavenly Gate, the Fairy Mountains and its fabulous landscapes ... Arrive in Dong Van at the end of the day, check-in a hotel. Dinner is served at a local restaurant and an overnight at Dong Van.

Day 07: Dong Van - Ha Giang - Hoang Su Phi

After breakfast, visit French colonial market right next to Ancient houses that are over 400 years old, continue your trip to Dong Van, unique stone plateau in Vietnam. Visit Royal Palace of King Hmong, Vuong Chi Sinh, a well-known historic site dating back to the colonial. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Continue to Ha Giang, visit Fairy Breast Mount, Heavenly Gate Quan Ba and continue to Hoang Su Phi through fabulous landscapes: terraced rice fields, ethnic villages and mountains. Arrive at Hoang Su Lodge. Enjoy your dinner and join in the traditional dancing show of the population ethnic groups in the Hoang Su Phi area. Overnight in a bungalow a beautiful valley.

Day 08:  Hoang Su Phi Trekking trip – Bac Ha

After breakfast, start hiking ethnic villages around Hoang Su Phi Lodge: Red Daos ethnic, Daos Ao Dai and H'mong. Back to Hoang Su Phi Lodge for lunch and drive to Bac Ha in the afternoon. Drives pass Xin Man and arrive Bac Ha, check-in at a homestay then walk around the villages, exlore the Tays culture. Enjoy your dinner and stay overnight at the Tays's homestay.

 Day 09: Bac Ha - Y Ty Lodge

Breakfast at the homestay, then, visits Bac Ha Weekly Market, one of the most beautiful and colorful ethnic markets in Lao Cai. After that, transfer to Y Ty through beautiful roads of Northeast Vietnam. Drive pass different ethnic minorities: the Nungs people, Tays people, flowering Hmong people. Stop over for some picture and lunch is served at a local restaurant. You will be arriving Y Ty in the afternoon, check-in at Y Ty Lodge. Discover White H'mong Village and Ha Nhi typical mud house. Enjoy your dinner and overnight at Y Ty Lodge.
Y Ty a borderland of Vietnam and China, home to the Hmong and Ha Nhi. Travelers tend to visit Y Ty instead of Sapa touristic town. Ways better than Sapa, Y Ty is more authentic and less touristy.

Day 10: Y Ty - Muong Hum market - Sapa

After breakfast, visit Muong Hum Market – a Sunday Market, where the most colorful costumes of all Flower H'Mong, Blue H'Mong, Black H'Mong, Red Dao, Giay, Ha Nhi, Tu Di… are gathered in the local market. Leaving Muong Hum Market and enjoy your trip to Sapa - climatic resort and resort of the french bourgois. Drive through Ban Khoang Commue to Ta Giang Phin Village – beautiful and less touristy places. Enjoy your dinner and an overnight stay in Sapa.

Day 11: Sapa - Trekking - Hanoi

Have breakfast and start trekking around Sapa, discovering Ma Tra Village and Ta Phin, the land of H'mongs and Red Daos. Hike through rice terraces and ethnic villages and stop for lunch at a local family. Then, return to Hanoi through grandiose landscapes, rural villages and expanses of rice paddies. You will be arriving Hanoi at the end of the day and stay overnight.

Day 12: Hanoi - Ninh Binh –Trang An – Tam Coc

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before transferrin to Hoa Lu - one of the most famous sites in Vietnam for its remains and impressive limestone peaks. Visit the two Temples of Kings: Dinh Tien Hoang Temple and The Dai Hanh Temple dating from the 10th century. Continue with a sampan cruise that makes you discover the Van Long "National Reserve Center" by contemplating karst rocks shaped sugar loaf and fishing activities. Enjoy your lunch at homestay lunch in Van Long. 
we continue to explore magnificent scenery on the way to  Trang An – world heritage site take three hours boat trip to explore maverlous scenery and admire stunning nature, picturesque limestone mountain, visit some holy temples on our way to learn about Vietnamese traditional religion. Following to the rice paddy trail lead us to Tam Coc ( three grotto) to admire wonderland. Spend two hours boat trip to discover breathtaking scenery on Ngo Dong River.  Have dinner and stay overnight in Tam Coc Hidden charm resort.*****

Day 13: Tam Coc – Halong Bay

having breakfast in hotel,  we commence to Halong Bay. enjoy three and half hours on bus to experience stunning scenery of the Red river delta. Stop on the way for refreshment. Our journey continue to Halong Bay. upon arrival, we do check in on boat and explore nearly two thousand different islands on bay. you also have a chance to visit incredible cave to learn about the history of tectonic age, the process of earth formation.. have lunch and dinner on boat. Day 14: Halong Bay - Hanoi –

Get up early to enjoy outstanding scenery and pristine nature, join in morning Thai Chi on sundesk for 30 minutes. Have hearty  breakfast on boat , we commence visiting mazing Cave for 45 minutes. Enjoy legendary world with full of stalagmite and stalagtide inside. You are also impressive on story related on each image. After exploring cave, we come back to boat for check out and clear the bill whilst our boat set the way come back to port. Our diver will meet you again and pick you up to Hanoi. Stop on the way for refreshment . arriving in Noi Bai International Airport to catch your flight onward. Our service is finished. Thank for your joining a life time holiday with us.
