12 Days  Northern Vietnam Bicycle tours will be conducted in Red River Delta by our experienced team,  offers a great experience for those who would like to explore  the exceptional natural beauty and  rich culture in Northern Vietnam. Our 12 Day Cycling tours will start in Hoa Binh - the gate way to the impressive northwest area of Vietnam. 

joining our cycling tours, the cyclist will immerse tranquil ambience of Da Bac Reservoir, stunning Mai Chau Valley,  outstanding scenery of Pu Luong Nature Reserve, Diversifed Cuc Phuong national park, explore ancient Dong Bien Villages, Picturesque scenery of Cat Ba National Park and Lan Ha Bay.

Setting off on bikes to  experience Vietnam’s village life in untouched region.  Mountain cyclist will love this trip for the variety of trails- from good single track paths, undulating rough jeep trails to some climbs that are rewarded with ultimate descents, the ride passes through many villages, across lush rice paddies .  

As we ride in Da Bac, we encounter Muong and while Thai  in minorities and are  guests in their traditional stilt houses, allowing us  to see first hand how there people live. Beside, you have amazing opportunity in   raft rowing and swimming in crystal water lake.  You especially enjoy the specialty dishes including rice cooked in bamboo and grilled meat and enjoy watching traditional dancing, music performances ( bronze, drums, gongs), and Muong minority singing and dancing.  Our cycle journey continues going further in lush scenery and rich culture heritages of Thai & Muong hill tribes as we ride through Nature Reserve of Pu Luong. 

Stay with local people in Ecohome, share experiences with them to deeply understand their culture. We also have chance to ride on less toursist road lead to one of the biggest National park in Vietnam where are reserving rarely species of langur monkey  and  turtles in whole of Vietnam. You learn about how they are rescusing endanger animals in center.  More interesting, cycling and exploring the glimpse of Ton kin's countryside  vista is the great way to connect and interact with indigenous  cultures.

Day 01: Hanoi – Da Bac Ecolodge

Have hearty breakfast in hotel, , Settiing off 12 Day Northern Vietnam Famliy Bicycle tours on tarmac road and paved road, passing lush rice paddy and stunning nature to local ferry. We cross Da river to Hoa Binh Province. We continue cycling on buffalo beaten path, enjoy rural area and village’ life, brilliant scenic beauty. Arriving in Hien Luong village, having lunch with local family. After lunch, we stroll around exotic village to learn about the daily and their customs. Kick off again our pedal, we ride leisurely 30km on dirt road along the lake to Da Bia Eco homestay village. On the way we are rewarded by maverlous limestone panoramas, magnificent lake view and breathtaking scenery. Experience the everyday life and culture of Muong people. Upon arrival in homestay, we arrange our luggage and enjoy peaceful village’life. Have dinner with host family and enjoy traditional music performace with local village.

Day 02: Da Bac – Da Bia – Pa Co – Hang Kia – Buoc Village

Get up early to enjoy pristine nature and peaceful asmotphere. Have breakfast  with host family, spending one hour for raft rowing to discover breathtaking scenery of the lake. Swimming in crystal water. Come back to homestay chek out and start our cycling to boat dock , loading up our bike on the boat to Bai Sang. Taking transfer to Pa Co juction where we set off our bike from Pa Co on rough and rugged hill road admire stunning nature from another side of the Lake. Cycling  on good single track paths, undulating rough jeep trails to some climbs that are rewarded with  Mai Chau scenery panopamas. Arriving in hotel do check in and relaxby yourself. Have dinner and stay over night in Mai Chau:

Day 03: Mai Chau Back Road

Waking up you early in the morning by birds and chicken sounding, you will be treated by Thai traditional cake for breakfast with hot coffee and tea. After hearty breakfast, we cycle through different villages on a mix of good single track paths  link from villages to anothers, the view are stunning as the ride passes and cross lush rice paddies./ Unique to this area are fan palms, grown specifically to use for roofing. We pass hot springs, cycle cross suspension bridges and follow the contours around beautiful terraced rice fields. We stop for lunch en route in local family. After lunch, we cycle back road, single tracks, buffalo trails through rice terraced fields   and bamboo forest and Bamboo chopstick production workshop and cycle back road to Mai Chau town. Upon arriving. Relax by your self. Have dinner and stayover night in Hotel / Eco homestay..

Day 04: Mai Chau –Pu Luong Nature Reseve

We commence cycling trip in outstanding natural beauty of Mai Chau Valley  dotted with Thai and Muong  villages between rice terraces paddies. We start early to ride  from Homestay on the mix single track paths links one village to another, you may observe how peaceful villages are in the morning!  And How they living here for hundred years?  You can find out your answer while we ride further in center of Villages, meet and talk with some local people on the way.We have lunch enroute in Sam Khoe village  before riding back road  to Hang Village . we ride ascendingly through Pu Luong Nature Reserve to admire breathtaking scenery, outcrops limestone mountains and Pu Luong  panoramic beauty. We stop for refreshment on summit before descending to Pho Doan Market for lunch. After lunch, we take easy ride on mix tarmac road, buffalo trails, undershade of bamboo forest led lo Nua village. Upon arrival, we take shower and enjoying with cold beers and and soft drinks. Have dinner and sleep in Pu Luong nature Reserve

Day 05;  The Gem of Nature Reserve

After recharging fully energy, we kick off our pedals from Retreat, setting off our way to descend Pho Doan section where we  turn off on single track trail along river to admire water wheels and green rice paddy fields.
After breakfast, take a short ride from the retreat to Bang village where you will start rolling down into the beautiful valley leading to Kho Muong. Along the way you will have a chance to enjoy beautiful terrace rice fields. After enjoying the view from above we will visit the isolated village is surrounded by a huge mountain range, you can come to visit a local family. This is a great chance to learn more about life style and culture of the local. Have lunch in local Homestay. After refilling up energy, we kick off our pedals to cycle back road on single track trail, passing rice paddy field to Retreat.

Day 06: Pu Luong – Cuc Phuong

After breakfast with the Host, Say good bye them, we start early  to ride back road  to Pho Doan, the township of Pu Luong Narture Reserver, if lucky, we can visit and take photo  at colourful tribal market before crossing the bridge , we ride on corridor path of Nature Reserver , through sugarcane fields, corn farm dotted with Thai and Muong Tribes villages led to Cam Luong, we are rewarded by spectacular scenery, meeting friendly local  villagers. We reach to Ho Chi Minh Trail at noon. Lunchmeal at local restaurant  in Kim Tan town, After lunch, we continue to ride 45 km more on a mix  of good single track and undulating paths . The view are stunning as the rider passes  through villages and across rice paddies, sugerccane and cassava farms . Arriving in Cuc Phuong National Park at late afternoon,  check in and take a rest  until dinner times. Accommodation  at Cuc Phuong Guest houses or Bangalow.

Day 07: Cuc Phuong – Tam Coc

After breakfast, our minibus take us into the depth of forest. From the center of the Park, we will cycle along canopied forest trails and through primitive jungle – an exclusive, tourist – free route, all the way to the gate of National park. Stop for refreshment, then we visit the Endangered primate Rescure Center. The day’s cycling continues onto Dong Giao – pineapple plantation where you can enjoy fresh pineapple from local farmers selling on sideroad. We ride out of plantation to Tam diep Township, transfer to Tam Coc for Lunch. After lunch, we ride through   magnificient limestone mountains rise up majestically from the green rice paddies, streams to Tram Chim Nature Reserve. Upon arrival, we take relax or wander around to encounter different birds in here. Dinner and stay overnight in Resort.

Day 08:Tam Coc – Tam Diep – Phat Diem – Dong Bien – Dong Chau

Have breakfast in resort, taking short transfer from Tam Coc - Tam Diep to avoid crowded traffic on highway. upon cycling point, setting off on scenic road, we cycle on lakeside through rice paddy fields,  peannut farms, cross some cannals and estuaries like cobweb to Phat Diem Cathedral  church. 
After visiting and exploring the history of the foundation of Church. We contiues our cycling trip on village road lead to Do Muoi Boat wharf where we take public boat to cross into Nam Dinh Province. Landing on Nam Dinh region, we take second public boat in Trai Cau to Hai Anh tile roofed bridge. one of unique building of Vietnam traditional architecture.
we keep going on small road, winding through villages, rice padied fields and cannals to Dong Bien commune for lunch.. After lunch time, we explore historical landmarks in this village, learn about the history of village foundation.
Cycling and exploring Hai Anh tile roofed Bridge, Ba Kham Cathedral Church, Co Le Ancient Pagoda, Hanh Thien Pagoda...crossing public ferry and cycling on village road to Dong Chau.

Day 09: Dong Chau – Diem Dien – Do Son

Get up early to immerse the glimpse of Tonkin ‘s Natural beauty and take photo the dawn over the Ocean in horizonal line.  We start our new cycling day at the hotel after refueling.
Cycling along the coast, weaving through the casuarina groves, endless salt fields, stopping by the countryside markets to see the products of the local people.
Our journey continues on the village roads, along the canal banks, across the vast green rice fields to reach the lunch spot.
After a light lunch, we  get back on bikes and  cycle on the countryside, rustic, idyllic and peaceful villages to the Duong Ao  bridge.   Loading our bikes onto the ferry, we cross the Van Uc River. From here we cycle along the border to the  Dragon Hill tourist area in Do son Beach.

Day 10: Do Son – Cat Hai – Cat Ba

Have breakfast in hotel, we take short  transfer from Resort to Dinh Vu Seaport, upon arriving at cycling point, we commence to ride to Dinh Vu ferry Station  and catch public ferry to Cat Hai Village, we cycle through Cat Hai, and Cai Vieng Village – one of traditional fishing village – and producing fish sauce villages. Arrving in Cat Ba Island, we continue riding on the Hilling road, challenge some passes, whereas you will be rewarded by outstanding natural scenery. Stop for lunch enroute, after lunch, we keep riding to Catba Town, Arriving Hotel, check in and take shower, exploring Cat Ba Township by our own. Or go to the beach swimming. Dinner at local restaurant and stay at Cat Ba Sun Spa Resort.

Day 11; Cat Ba – cycling -  hiking and  Kayaking

Our exploration adventure trip in northern Vietnam will start from hotel after breakfast, setting off our way on scenic route to Cat Ba National Park, on the way we conquer some stiff passes. Upon arrival of Cat Ba National park, we leave our bikes in Park where we start our hiking trip through tropical forest to Viet Hai village. On the way, we have chance to admire captivating scenic beauty and thrilling soaring mountain.  Upon Viet Hai Village, do quickly visit village and take E - car to boat dock., Catching boat to transfer to cuise for exploring Lan Ha Bay. Have dinner and stayover night on Cruise.

Day 12: Cat Ba – Gia Luan - Hanoi

Today is the last day of cycling in Cat Ba National Park and Lan Ha Bay cycling trip, you have time to explore the daily life of local fishmen and  experience interesting activities  on the way back to Hanoi. We start cycling from Hotel follow the coast and hilly road lead to Gia Luan Quay.. 
Taking public Ferry from Gia Luan – Tuan Chau Island for 90minutes. Upon arriving in Tuan Chau, we disembark our bikes and cycle through island to main gate. Finishing our cycle trip. we take short transferin City for lunch. 
After refueling energy, our bus depart to Hanoi via Hai Phong Highway. Enjoy three hours on bus to admire stunning scenery of Vietnam Red River delta. do check in and have relax by yourself. Farewell dinner is arranged for your group. Stay in Hanoi.
